m1842 Dated 1851 Aston Horse Pistol

The m1842 Horse Pistol is a perfect early war weapon for cavalry men, North and South, Eastern and Western Theater. Not often utilized in living history, these weapons packed a whopping .54 punch. About 24,000 of these were produced in a short seven-year span; this one being made in 1851.

The pistol underwent restoration work at Novelty Ordnance (check Lodgewood Firearms custom gallery for reference) that included replacing the worn cone, prevention of future cracking, and rounding out the barrel tip that saw a ding. What is still left is a partial martial mark, and a solid weapon that is NSSA ready or for the next jaunt into a 40 Rounds Event, while you can save your very best one for the home study... such as a 6th Missouri (US) Cavalry officer's inscribed one.

We think you'll be very happy with this addition.
