Agents Campbell and Pelican's Military Goods

A very solid and hefty m1816 dated 1838 from Harpers Ferry. This would be the Type III version of the 1816, and is a very nice example of a very common weapon in the early days of the War for either Federal or Confederate impressions. There are no cracks in the stocks, and a nice patina over the entire musket. The bore has only light pitting near the muzzle, but otherwise would be an excellent shooter.

The stock is very good, and dense! The inspector cartouches are worn, however, there are reassembly stampings. The mainspring could use a rehardening before it sees use in the field. It appears to be a reproduction, but overall, the action is still very hefty.
